–       Chantel explains that when she is in the kitchen, something happens to her. She becomes obsessed to perfect everything and all of her stress is relieved.  In fact, she had a few pretty difficult and stressful years growing up so the kitchen was very therapeutic.

–       Her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and Chantel started researching foods, spices, and ingredients that supposedly helped the disease.

–       She was constantly cooking for her mom.  Unfortunately, her mom, Grandmother, and Grandfather all passed away from cancer in the same year.

–       This has inspired her to create a restaurant that serves her creations that aid cancer patients.

–       She can’t live without pressure because if she didn’t have it, nothing would get done.

–       Chantel says she can stand up to any executive Chef on the show. Winning Hell’s Kitchen would be her lifetime goal and would prove her hard work and money spent, paid off.
