–       Umami Burger, Corporate Executive Chef, 2009-Present

–       Tsunami Sushi, Head Chef, 2006-2009

–       Lamuras, Line Chef, 2006

–       Mical Kang’s 5 Feet, Line Cook, 2006-2007

–       John has been cooking since he was 15.  He started in a McDonalds kitchen in Texas and never looked back.

–       He is very skilled with his hands.  He began training as a flare bartender in addition to cooking which helped him obtain a job as a Teppanyaki chef.

–       He was in a horrible car accident in which a college student was speeding, crashed into John and died.

–       John later moved to LA and saw “Umami [burger]” and immediately applied.  He thought it was a Japanese restaurant like the one he worked at in Texas. After realized it was a burger joint, he still accepted the job and continued to grow with the company and currently is the Corporate Exec. Chef in charge of all Umami restaurants.

–       Has a great look and is very intense, but can he cook on the line in Hell’s Kitchen?  Winning would justify all of his hard work and would mean the world to him.
