–       Justin’s mom taught him and his 6 siblings how to cook at a young age so that she didn’t have to.

–       He was raised to do things for himself and he had to cook to feed everyone in the house.  This taught him responsibility and stirred up a passion within him to cook starting at a young age

–       Justin began cooking professionally at 16 years old

–       His most life-changing event was when his parents got divorced and this made him grow up fast! He had to learn independence quickly and work his ass off as he became the authority figure of the house

–       Religious, but curses a ton!

–       Justin sings and raps in the kitchen quite often, is known for making people laugh when times are rough and can liven up any situation

–       Justin is calm until someone pisses him off, then watch out!

–       When he’s overwhelmed he sometimes “freezes up”

–       He doesn’t crack in the face of adversity but instead pushes right through it which is why he feels he’s prepared and geared up for Hell’s Kitchen!
