–       Luca moved to the U.S. from Italy when he was 16 years old and is inspired by the fresh food preparations of his native country.

–       Upon arriving the America his parents opened a very successful restaurant, and it was there he learned how to cook.

–       At one time he had two restaurants of his own that he opened with a partner, but had to sell them as the partnership went sour.

–       His motto is that “top shelf ingredients produce entrees that are closest to perfection.” It is his personal recipe for success.

–       Speaks fluent Spanish, Italian and English.

–       His current restaurant is one of 7 restaurants in Chicago to be certified by the country of Italy as genuine Italian food.

–       His regular customers consist of the Governor, the Mayor and the State Treasurer.

–       Met his wife 16 years ago when she was the hostess at the restaurant where he cooked. They now have two children.
