ABOUT:

–       Matthew says his mother always knew he would become a chef.

–       As a child, he was always cooking and reading “kiddie cookbooks and making kiddie cupcakes.”

–       His most recent job was at Friendly’s, but he quit  after a week because “there was a lot of sabatoging, and I don’t like working at restaraurants where you cook out of a box.”

–       Matthew originally went to college to study electronic engineering, but he was unable to keep up with his student loans, so he went back to working in the kitchen.

–       He may not know all of the “fancy European culinary terms,” but he is self-taught in the “science of food.”

–       He would love to make it to Hell’s Kitchen to prove that he can compete against some of the most educated and experienced chefs and come out on top.

–       People in the kitchen call Matthew “The Black Ninja,” because of how quickly he moves in the kitchen.
