ABOUT:

–       From Wall Street to the kitchen, Dr. Tom is a doctor, chef , financial wizard, gifted musician, and survivor of 9/11 (which is also his birthday)

–       Against his parents’ wishes, he deferred medical school to attend the French Culinary Institute, and is currently finishing his residency at Columbia Presbyterian (one of the top hospitals in the world)

–       Raised by traditional immigrant Asian parents who arrived 36 years ago with just 2 suitcases

–       Can bench press 350 lbs.

–       Has always competed at the highest level in everything –  was valedictorian in high school; second from top of class at Yale; and has received several accolades in medical school

–       Thomas is confident he can handle pressure because every day he has to save human lives, and that’s more stressful than Hell’s Kitchen

–       Has handled 200-250 tickets in two hours

–       Appeared on Iron Chef America as Sous Chef
